Fascinating experience (and indeed I have been in that lounge and know exactly what you're talking about). Hadn't thought about the brand exposure - excellent point. I always wondered about all those Freq Flyer signup forms in the lounge - what lounge member isn't already enrolled?!

A great round up of a flight with a generally good airline. But one that is leaving major dollars on the table. Why the world (and not just the airlines) don't understand and/or realize the enormous marketing/branding potential of this tribe, the world's FF's (Transumers!) is odd. Think of the characters in Up in the Air. They are walking billboards for the brands they are loyal to. Why wouldn't any brand want to attach themselves to these global, smart, savvy people?
